Thursday April 7: Demo for the Montgomery County Woodturners during their monthly meeting. They hold their meetings at the Woodworkers Club in Rockville, MD. I plan to demonstrate some of the key techniques that I use when turning tall banksia pod hollow forms.
March 2011
Saturday March 19th, 1:00pm - 4:00pm: I will be demonstrating woodturning techniques at the Montpelier Mansion in Laurel, MD. The demo is in conjunction with the Chesapeake Woodturners biennial Exhibition running through March 31st. The exhibition is open daily from 11:00am-4:00pm. Admission is free. Four of my turnings including the goblet depicted to the left were juried into the exhibition.

Friday March 18th: Attended all day class at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts instructed by Betty Scarpino. In addition to her outstanding turned art skills Betty is currently the editor of the AAW's American Woodturner journal. Betty's work can seen on her website.
